Simulation Stations

RQI Simulation Stations empower healthcare professionals to practice CPR skills through low-dose quarterly curricula and on-site training using a mobile, adaptable simulation station.

This compact and efficient CPR training solution offers learners the convenience and flexibility to acquire and uphold their required credentials endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA).

Strategically positioned within healthcare facilities, RQI Simulation Stations are easily accessible, providing healthcare providers with seamless access to training resources whenever they need them. As part of the RQI Program, each on-site simulation station conducts both cognitive and psychomotor skill assessments, allowing professionals to continuously evaluate and reinforce their CPR skills.

This point-of-care learning method ensures employees achieve and sustain exceptional performance in CPR, all while minimizing disruptions to patient care and workflow.

Simulation Station

RQI Simulation Station

RQI provides a dedicated “stationary” simulation station tailored for in-hospital use by healthcare employees. Each simulation station is conveniently mounted on a cart equipped with wheels and a push handle, enabling effortless mobility between different departments within the institution.

The stations are fully assembled and pre-configured, offering seamless 24/7 access, straightforward log-in procedures, and WiFi connectivity for easy usage.

RQIP-GO Simulation Station

The RQI-P GO Simulation Station, designed specifically for mobile use, enables healthcare systems to complete CPR skills on-the-go.

This station does not include a cart or step. However, it offers the same training capabilities as the stationary cart, with the added convenience of a portable and easily transferable design. This mobile version can be utilized on the floor or a table, incorporating the identical technology found in its stationary counterpart.

The RQI-P GO Simulation Station is designed to meet three primary customer profiles:

  • Freestanding locations within a healthcare system that would be considered “off the main campus,” including large clinics, stand-alone emergency rooms, surgical centers, or other similar facilities.
  • Prehospital and public safety organizations with locations that may be distributed across a city or county.
  • Critical access hospitals that require staff to travel to a training center or similar off-campus location for resuscitation training.

RQI & RQI-P GO Simulation Station Benefits

  • Educational Opportunities: Keeps CPR skills sharp with low-dose, high-frequency quarterly sessions and allows healthcare providers and non-clinical staff to stay on-site without having to travel to a training facility
  • Mastery Learning Design: Enhanced audio and visual coaching with real-time feedback to support continuous improvement
  • Reporting: RQI Analytics measure compliance and competence at individual and group levels
  • Measurement Capability: Learning technology that measures Quality CPR metrics
  • Learning Management System: Capable of integration with Target Solutions and other third-party content providers
  • Support: Gain ongoing personalized and site-specific support from our Customer Success Team

The RQI-P GO simulation station has been created to enable healthcare systems to provide the RQI & HeartCode Complete programs to learners who may not have access to a primary location with traditional Simulation Stations.  The simulation solutions provide the essential elements required to participate in RQI or HeartCode Complete successfully.

The solution has been designed to meet three primary customer profiles:

  • Freestanding locations within a healthcare system that would be considered “off the main campus” including large clinics, stand-alone emergency rooms, surgical centers, or other similar facilities.
  • Prehospital and public safety organizations with locations that may be distributed across a city or county.
Critical Access Hospitals that normally require staff to travel to a Training Center or similar off-campus location for their resuscitation training
  • Educational Opportunities: Keeps CPR skills sharp with low-dose, high-frequency quarterly sessions, while allowing healthcare providers and non-clinical staff to stay on-site without having to travel to a training facility.
  • Mastery Learning Design: Enhanced audio and visual coaching with real-time feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Reporting: RQI Analytics measure compliance and competence at individual and group levels.
  • Measurement Capability: Learning technology that measures Quality CPR metrics.
  • Learning Management System: capable of integration with Target Solutions and other 3rd party content providers.
  • Support: Gain on-going personalized and site-specific support from our Customer Success Team.

The RQI-P GO solution is an iF Design Award 2022 winner! Laerdal and RQI Partners were awarded the iF Design Award in May, 2022 for the product, medicine/health category.

RQI for NRP Simulation Station

Enhancing survival rates and minimizing neurodevelopmental complications in newborns depends on the implementation of CPR training methodologies tailored to this vulnerable demographic. To support this goal, the Neonatal Resuscitation Program® (NRP®) 8th Edition now offers the innovative RQI® for NRP® Simulation Station.

To ensure learner proficiency, RQI Partners established a strategic collaboration with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) within the framework of the 8th Edition of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Learners benefit from an on-site simulation station specifically designed for neonates, ensuring the preservation of high-quality CPR training standards.

The RQI for NRP simulation station, tailored for neonatal resuscitation, closely resembles the traditional version. Each quarter, in a low-dose, high-frequency model, cognitive and skills sessions assess the learner’s recall, application, and practice of the NRP algorithm, positive pressure ventilation, and MR. SOPA.

The SimNewB, provided by the AAP, is a newborn tetherless simulator designed to fulfill targeted learning objectives for high-quality neonatal CPR training. This sophisticated manikin elevates the training experience by providing a heightened level of realism, particularly in areas such as advanced airway management and lung recruitment maneuvers.
