Expert Care for Newborns with CCHDs

The NRP Cardiac course, offered by the American Academy of Pediatrics, is designed to equip healthcare providers with the skills necessary to care for newborns with the seven critical congenital heart diseases (CCHDs) at birth. The course offers both general knowledge and an in-depth understanding of specific congenital cardiac anomalies, while also providing just-in-time training to prepare healthcare providers for effective delivery room management of infants with these conditions—ensuring readiness to address the diagnosis before birth.

Specialized CCHD Modules

The course delivers specific modules covering seven CCHDs and the care required:

  • Fetal to Neonatal Transition Circulation
  • Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS)
  • Tetralogy of Fallot
  • Transposition of the Great Arteries (d-TGA)
  • Ebstein’s Anomaly
  • Congenital Complete (Third Degree) Heart Block (CHB)
  • Tachydysrhythmia Including Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT)

True Adaptive eLearning

Delivered in an eLearning format, the NRP Cardiac course leverages True Adaptive learning technology.

This innovative algorithm moves backwards and forwards through the learning objectives of the course to achieve 100% proficiency in the most efficient way. Novice learners have faster knowledge acquisition and expert learners only receive content they need.
