Instructor Information

To have the ability to schedule and grade Instructor-Led Events, you must maintain active instructor status. Here is some helpful information:

  • NRP Instructor Toolkit: The Instructor Toolkit is a repository of resources to help ensure that teaching and learning NRP is an excellent experience for all. The NRP 8th Edition Instructor Toolkit is available to active NRP Instructors through the NRP Learning Platform (NRP LP). The toolkit allows instructors to teach NRP 8th Edition content. NRP Instructors retain access to the toolkit until their instructor status expiration date or renewal.
  • Becoming an NRP Instructor: To become an NRP Instructor, certain steps have to be taken. For a complete list of steps, please visit: https://www.aap.org/en/pedialink/neonatal-resuscitation-program/nrp-instructor/
  • Instructor Eligibility: NRP providers who want to become NRP instructor candidates must meet certain eligibility requirements. For a complete list of requirements, please visit:
    https://www.aap.org/en/pedialink/neonatal-resuscitation-program/nrp-instructor/
  • Instructor Renewal: An NRP instructor in good standing remains an NRP instructor as long as the maintenance requirements are met before the instructor renewal date every 2 years. The NRP instructor must complete the steps below at some point before their renewal date, which is the last day of the month in which your NRP Instructor status was first attained. NRP Instructors at an RQI for NRP hospital should also maintain their Essentials eCredential.
