Providing High-Quality Neonatal Resuscitation Training

Every Baby. Every Time.

RQI Partners collaborates with  the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)  to provide the highest-quality neonatal resuscitation training program called  Resuscitation Quality Improvement for Neonatal Resuscitation Program® — (RQI for NRP®). The RQI for NRP program  is tailored specifically for providers who care for newborns at the time of delivery with the aim of improving survival outcomes.

The expectation to provide the right care at the right time is constantly changing for healthcare providers. Digital health investments require both innovation and organizational transformation. The difference between resuscitation and high-quality resuscitation is survival. Every baby. Every time.

NRP

What is Traditional Instructor-Led (ILT) NRP?

The traditional Instructor-Led NRP course conveys an evidence-based approach and facilitates effective team-based care for healthcare professionals who care for newborns at the time of delivery. This program uses a blended learning approach, which includes online testing and hands-on case-based simulation/debriefing that focus on critical leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. The 8th Edition of NRP is available for purchase now only through RQI Partners.

What is RQI for NRP?

In collaboration with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), RQI Partners has developed a digital delivery program for NRP, ensuring healthcare providers are prepared to deliver life-saving resuscitation when required. Our approach of self-directed skills sessions dramatically increases providers’ competence and confidence to deliver high-quality resuscitation for neonatal patients. Our science-based technology allows healthcare providers to learn anytime, anywhere, increasing time spent with patients instead of in a classroom.

RQI for NRP

The critical importance of high-quality neonatal resuscitation training cannot be overstated.

A neonate in cardiorespiratory distress requires specialized-resuscitation training due to unique physiology in a newborn’s transition to  breathing. Neonatal patient outcomes rely on the immediate and effective resuscitation response of medical providers. .

Healthcare facilities must ensure that their staff is both confident and competent in high-quality neonatal resuscitation skills to improve outcomes and provide the best chance at a healthy and thriving start to life—Every baby. Every time.

RQI for NRP

RQI® for NRP®

RQI for NRP is a low-dose, high-frequency and self-directed quarterly training method at the point-of-care. Learners have access to an on-site simulation station dedicated to maintaining high-quality neonatal positive pressure ventilation skills. This simulation station, designed for neonates, provides a realistic environment for healthcare professionals to practice real-world neonatal resuscitations.

Instructor-Led Training

NRP ILT

NRP Instructor-Led Training (ILT) is a traditional instructor delivered  training format. In this delivery method, healthcare providers complete a cognitive online learning assessment then attend an in-person skills training session conducted by certified NRP instructors.

The instructor-led course includes the Online Learning Assessment and NRP Advanced Exam (if applicable), and the in-person event.

Why NRP?

NRP is designed for those who care for newborns in the delivery room, maternal/child units or the newborn nursery. NRP course aims to:

  • Improve the quality of neonatal resuscitation.
  • Meet performance expectations or attain hospital privileges or credentialing for staff who attend births or care for newborns.
  • Serve as a quality management strategy to improve the process and outcome of neonatal resuscitation.
  • Meet regulatory agency requirements for evidence of an education program that supports competency-based practice of neonatal resuscitation.

Who Would Benefit From NRP Curricula?

The NRP curriculum is designed for healthcare professionals involved in any aspect of newborn resuscitation.

20,000 active instructors

200,000 providers complete the course every year
