RQI® for NRP®

Elevate your Neonatal Resuscitation Skills

The RQI® for NRP® program is an innovative quality improvement initiative based on a low-dose, high-frequency learning model. It combines eLearning with skills sessions on a state-of-the-art simulation station to help providers master and maintain the most crucial intervention for newborn resuscitation– positive pressure ventilation.

A joint effort between the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Heart Association, and Laerdal Medical, the program provides neonatal resuscitation training conveniently available on-site.

The RQI® for NRP® Provider Program

RQI® for NRP® is an evidence-based quality improvement program designed to prepare healthcare professionals for neonatal resuscitation emergencies and promote effective team-based care. Based on a low-dose, high-frequency learning model, the RQI for NRP program combines adaptive eLearning with hands-on simulation on a state-of-the-art simulation station to help providers master and maintain critical skills like positive pressure ventilation—one of the most impactful interventions for newborns in need of resuscitation. NRP Essentials and NRP Advanced Options

The RQI for NRP program offers both NRP Essentials and NRP Advanced options to allow healthcare professionals to competently and confidently respond to neonatal resuscitation emergencies based on their level of responsibility.

  • NRP Essentials Provider: After program enrollment, the RQI for NRP Essentials program offers self-directed quarterly cognitive and skills learning sessions, resulting in an RQI for NRP Essentials Provider eCredential.
  • NRP Advanced Provider: For those seeking the NRP Advanced Endorsement eCard, the program includes additional NRP Advanced content and requires completion of an instructor-led, hands-on skill course every two years.
